Dr Stefano Troiani graduated from the orthodontic program at the University of Aarhus, Denmark, in 2003. He has worked in private practice in Denmark (2003-2017) and Germany (2008-2023), and is currently in private practice in Switzerland, where he also serves as an advisor to the orthodontic industry.
Alongside his practice, Dr Troiani has held several academic and clinical positions. He was a Consultant Orthodontist at the University of Aarhus Regional Center for Interdisciplinary Treatment of Multiple Aplasia (2003-2004) and at the Center for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the Royal Dental College of Aarhus (2003-2005). From 2005 to 2007, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Aarhus. His consultant work continued at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital of Sønderborg, Denmark (2008-2009) and the University Hospital of Odense, Denmark (2008-2017). Furthermore, he was the Scientific Director for the Alpe Adria Face Master program, a collaboration between the Universities of Graz, Ljubljana, and Zagreb, from 2012 to 2013.
Dr Troiani has delivered over 150 orthodontic lectures and courses to professional audiences worldwide.
To provide the audience an understanding of the difference in biomechanics between fixed appliance and aligners and how such differences have an influence on the finishing of cases. To provide guidelines to facilitate assessment of finishing and protocols for immediate implementation.
